  Fire Safety Tips

Check smoke detector batteries once a month and change batteries once a year. Install a smoke detector on every floor of your home and in or near all sleeping areas. For more Fire Safety Tips, please visit the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) website for family fire safety tips.

  Help Us Help You

During winter storms, fire hydrants can become snow covered. You can help the Green Village Volunteer Fire Department by shoveling out any fire hydrants located on or around your property. This will help ensure the safety of you and your neighbors in case of an emergency.

We Also Provide:

  • Education on fire prevention.
  • Support to the St. Barnabas Burn Center.
  • Support to the New Jersey Retired Firemen's Home
  • Scholarships to High School students each year.
